Mandy (aka Plakplaatjes) (she/they) works with all kinds of different media, tattooing being one of them. Currently they work with ink, paint, film, words and installations. What all their works have in common, is that it’s one big experiment on how to come closer to your creative inner child through the process of creating. Their tattoos can best be described as intuitive, contemporary, illustrative and childish.
For Mandy, who is queer and neurodivergent themselves, it’s really important to create a safe space (before and during the tattoo session) where there is room for both artist and client to communicate their needs.
