Hi, I’m Martha, a queer stick n poke artist.

I have a big love for lines, patterns and ornaments but I’m always experimenting and searching for new imagery that triggers my inspiration, and that can be something completely random, for instance, the shapes on the core flesh of a banana. Most of the patterns I create have a [hi]story that I’m also connected to in certain ways and some are more aesthetically driven. My latest designs are the outcome of research I did in my home country. I found inspiration in the streets and alleys of Athens, I collected old traditional patterns and designs, and I re-shaped them and gave them life.

For me art -in general- is a healing process, intimacy, rebirth, a connection between body and mind. That being said, I suggest the people who choose stick n poke approach the tattooing process exactly like this.
