The raw feeling of drawing and painting materials is an important element in my work, as well as contrast. The contrast between light and dark, texture and smoothness, seriousness and playfulness, conceptual and material.

Experimentation is a big part of my creative process. I like to explore a wide array of subject matter and play around with material expression. Therefore, new elements are frequently introduced into my designs. In most of them, abstraction plays a role. Whether it’s completely abstract, or an abstracted figurative form or composition. I see my work as playful with a dark edge.

I’d love to do more large-scale abstract compositions that span several body parts. Diverging from the tattoo as an image on skin with clear boundaries to where the tattoo begins and ends. Works that can be experienced from a distance, as well as close by. I will regularly post available compositions on my Instagram page.
